Mahaveer Limb Centre, Hubli is a
social organization set up during 1995 by like –minded enthusiastic
youths with an object to serve humanity irrespective of caste, color
and creed.
We organize
“Jaipur Artificial Limb camps in association with various social
organizations and NGOs like Lions, Rotary, Inner-Wheel and other
like minded organizations in Karnataka and its neighboring states.
The Jain youths during february 1997 established a permanent Center
in association with Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS)
at Vidyanagar, Hubli under the name & style "Mahaveer
Limb Center" which is dedicated and devoted to the poor by
providing Jaipur Artificial Limbs Calipers, Tricycles & Crutches
to physically challenged persons free of cost.
The idea of the world famous Jaipur
foot was first mooted by Sri Ramachandra Sharma of Jaipur who
designed and developed the Limb with the help of orthopedic expert
like Dr.P.K Sethi of Jaipur. These limbs are very light and durable.
They are cosmetically and functionally close to human limb permitting
normal sitting, squatting, walking, running, climbing, swimming
and are made to the required measurements. After fitment the person
can walk, run, sit, swim, climb etc, like a normal person without
any support.
